This interesting and unique patio coffee table is a departure from how Neil and I have been making tables.  I usually make the top, and he does the legs.    Out of this reversal has come an amazing table which looks and feels like a magic flying carpet from the enchanting fairy tales of One Thousand and One Nights.

The top of the carpet, I mean table, is made from a heavy weight perforated metal sheet, strong enough for a few people to sit on.  Neil welded steel seamlessly along the edge to give the table a beautiful finished look.  The legs are completely his invention, with several solid steel components fused together to create an elegant and sturdy support for the top.  I made the tile with Islamic colors and motifs to further enhance the fairy tale quality of the whole piece.
